MMP Locum Dr Martin Kitson to raise money for Nepal

In October MMP Locum Dr Martin Kitson will attempt to complete his first Ironman Triathlon in Barcelona to raise funds for those affected by the recent Earthquake in Nepal. The Triathlon will start off with a 2.4 mile swim, followed by a 112 mile bike ride and topped off with a full marathon.

Dr Kitson has chosen to support two charities which directly help those in need in Nepal. One is the Gurkha Welfare Trust and the other is PHASE, a small charity run by an UK trained GP who lives and works in Nepal. He thoroughly enjoyed working with the Gurkhas and visited Nepal in 1997 and 1998 and in 2013 he spent a year working in Kathmandu, hence his personal connection with the people of Nepal.
